  • 1. Do Qibbel bike seats conform to safety requirements?

The Qibbel front seat (max. 15 kg) and rear seat (max. 22 kg) comply with the safety standard EN 14344. For the Qibbel 6+ Junior seat (max. 35 kg) this legislation does not apply. Featuring sturdy seats, footrests and safety belts, Qibbel products are the safe way to transport children.

  • 2. Will a Qibbel bike seat fit on my bike?

Because there are many different types of bicycles, we recommend that you contact your nearest Qibbel dealer for information. He will be able to assess whether a Qibbel seat can be mounted on your bicycle.

  • 3. Does a Qibbel Air rear seat fit on a carrier that does not meet the required dimensions?

For safe mounting, your luggage carrier must be able to hold at least 25 kg. The Qibbel Air rear carrier attachment is suitable for luggage carriers between 11 and 17 centimetres wide with a tube diameter between 10 and 22 mm. If your luggage carrier does not meet these dimensions, mounting a universal carrier can be a possible solution. Look here for the possibilities of Steco: Universal Adapter lugage carrier E-bike or Universal Adapter lugage carrier.

    Please note
For the following bicycles, the Qibbel Air rear seat carrier attachment can only be fitted with a universal add-on carrier:

    • Batavus Fonk E-Go
  • 4. Does a Qibbel Air front seat fit on an Ahead stem where there is less than 20 mm of space (height)?

Yes, this is possible. Look here for the possibilities of JP Trading&gineering: jp1050 Qibbel Air mounting bracket for AHS.

  • 6. Where can I buy Qibbel products?

The Qibbel product range is available from most specialist cycle shops. To find your nearest Qibbel stockist, go to the dealer page.

  • 7. Is the mesh material strong enough?

Absolutely. The Qibbel Air bike seat complies with the EN 14344 European safety standard.

Mesh is a light, 3d-woven material that is often used in office chairs, recumbent bicycles and rucksacks. The material is very breathable and easy to clean. Furthermore, the material is flexible and can stand up to rough treatment.

In the Qibbel Air, we use mesh in the back support because it is comfortable, doesn't heat up in the sun, dries quickly and is lightweight.

A sharp object might cause a tear, but the material does not fray, so it won't tear any further.
